(CS) Luxembourg consumer confidence further improved in September, bringing it up to its highest levels since September 2011.
All indicators improved in the survey conducted by the Luxembourg Central Bank (BCL), which asks Luxembourg households to evaluate the situation of the country's finances, as well as their own personal household economics.
Respondents said that they were more likely to be able to save money and more confident about the financial situation of their household, with the September 2013 results the highest over the past two years.
The survey also showed that residents were more optimistic about the the Grand Duchy's finances and situation of the Luxembourg labour market over the coming 12 months.
On the whole the consumer confidence indicator climbed to -2 in September, from -7 the month before. The lowest value over the past couple of years was recorded in October 2012, at -15.
The most positive value over the past two years was recorded in September 2011, at -1.
The positive results in September come despite the upcoming elections in October and the uncertainties connected to a possible change in government.
