(ADW) Three "maisons médicales", drop-in surgeries where amongst other duties on-call doctors are based, across the country are not enough, according to patients representative organisation "Patient Vertriedung".
In a meeting with the government, the patients' representative organisation did not miss the opportunity to stress that according to them, three "maisons médicales" are not enough for the country.
"Three centres across the country are not sufficient to provide comprehensive care," they said, adding: "The east of the country in particular needs reinforcing as a priority."
The drop-in surgeries were set up to provide a service replacing general practitioner doctors at nights, weekends and holidays, and when local surgeries are closed.
"Maisons médicales" offer medical advice and can issue prescriptions, but they are not an emergency service.
