Prince Félix was born on June 3, 1984, at the Maternité Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in Luxembourg City. He is the second of five children of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. His full title is His Royal Highness Prince Félix Léopold Marie Guillaume of Luxembourg, Prince of Nassau, Prince of Bourbon-Parma.
