(CS/DS) Arab news portal Nuqudy has raised allegations of corruption against former Economy Minister Jeannot Krecké and his aid Jean-Claude Knebeler in connection with illegal shipping of cigarettes through Cargolux.
According to Nuqudy, the minister was implicated in a scheme, which saw cigarettes shipped to Iran illegally on Cargolux planes. The cigarettes are then thought to have been sold back to Europe with money laundered into the Western banking system to fund Iran's nuclear programme.
