A digger which fell from a construction site into a Luxembourg river has been recovered over a week later.
The construction vehicle slipped into a pit on the Our river between Stolzemburg and Bivels.
It was at a site which was being worked on by hydro-energy firm “Société Electrique de l'Our” (SEO).
On Thursday, however, the digger was recovered and seemed to have suffered little damage during the seven days it remained submerged.
The incident occurred as part of SEO's M11 project, which was delayed because of it.
“We are confident that the final phase of the important M11 large-scale project can be completed successfully without further incident,” SEO officials said in a statement.
