Work is underway on a study to improve one of Luxembourg's most perilous roundabouts, a minister has revealed.
The three-lane Robert Schaffner roundabout between Sandweiler and Hamm, nicknamed the “Irrgarten” or labyrinth by Luxembourgers, poses a daily challenge for motorists and is a regular accident hot spot.
But, help may be at hand as Infrastructure Minister Claude Wiseler revealed that a traffic study is underway which will shape recommendations for improving traffic flows on the treacherous roundabout.
The revelation came after MP Jean Colombera submitted a parliamentary question asking why nothing had been done to improve safety measures at the roundabout, by installing traffic lights for example.
