(ADW) The driver of an excavator digger had a fright at a construction site on Thursday when the vehicle slipped down an embankment and sank into the River Our.
The incident happened during work at a power station next to a dam along the banks of the River Our, between Stolzenburg and Biwels.
The excavator was working on a canal embankment of the river when it began to slide towards the waters. Luckily the driver was able to escape with only slight injuries.
As the excavator is somewhat incapacitated lying at the bottom of the River Our, work as the dam has been delayed.
