(CS) Luxembourg's Archbishop Jean-Claude Hollerich has said that foreign nationals should have the right to vote in general elections, saying that they help build the country and should therefore also be allowed to participate in political life.
Hollerich was speaking to wort.lu/pt at the Fatima pilgrimage in Portugal, where he said that he is personally in favour of granting the right to vote to non-nationals. However, he added that he was not making a political declaration, but voicing a personal opinion.
