The new Luxembourg ID card to be rolled out from July 2014, will include an electronic chip, which will also be used in the next generation of passports, to be launched towards the end of next year.
(CS) The new Luxembourg ID card to be rolled out from July 2014, will include an electronic chip, which will also be used in the next generation of passports, to be launched towards the end of next year.
Director of the “Centre de technologies de l'information de l'Etat” Pierre Zimmer explained in an interview with the “Luxemburger Wort” that the ID cards will include state of the art technology.
