Luxembourg army officer returns from mission in Congo

After a four-month mission assisting Congolese authorities in the reforms of the country's security sector, army officer Carlo Schreitmuller now returns home.

(MSS) After four months mission assisting Congolese authorities in the reforms of the country's security sector, army officer Carlo Schreitmuller now returns home.

The mission “EUSEC RD Congo” was established in May 2005 and aims to support the authorities in putting in place a modern and efficient administration of the armed forces, as well as ensuring that policies are transparent, compatible with human rights and live up to democratic standards.
