Restoration of medieval fortress to be completed in 2014

Culture Minister Octavie Modert on Friday visited the “Plateau du Rham” where the restoration of several medieval towers and elements of Luxembourg's 17th Century fortress walls is progressing.

(CS) Culture Minister Octavie Modert on Friday visited the “Plateau du Rham” where the restoration of several medieval towers and elements of Luxembourg's 17th Century fortress walls is progressing.

Looking across the Grund the Rham plateau is visible behind the Abbaye de Neumünster. It includes four towers built in the 14th and 15th Centuries, as well as additions to the fortress added by the Marquis de Vauban, and elements dating back to the 18th and 19th Centuries.
