A motorcyclist was killed in an accident in Luxembourg City on Friday morning, after being hit by a car.
(CS) A motorcyclist was killed in an accident in Luxembourg City on Friday morning, after being hit by a car.
The incident occurred around 5.40am on Friday morning on the Route d'Esch. A driver, making a turn into the Rue Baudouin, crashed into the motorcyclist who was coming from the direction of the "Caisse Nationale de la Santé".
The 41-year-old man died at the scene.
Police reported that the driver of the car was tested positive for drink driving and that his licence was confiscated.
The Route d'Esch in direction of Luxembourg City was closed following the accident and re-opened over the course of the morning.
