Police and employment watchdogs have exposed a litany of illegal working practices among workers employed to restore blast furnaces in Belval, according to Luxembourg Police.
Among the infringements listed in a Police press release, one worker claimed to be earning just 1,200 euros per month, below the Luxembourg minimum wage for qualified workers. Other workers from Romania, meanwhile, were found to have neither work nor residence permits.
