(ADW) A small private plane crash landed at an airfield close to Trier on Thursday afternoon seriously injuring the pilot. Local emergency services rushed to the scene as well as a Luxembourg Air Rescue helicopter.
According to the German police report, the 73-year-old pilot was alone at the time in his double-winged replica aircraft after taking off from Föhren Airfield just north of Trier. He is then said to have experienced technical problems and began an attempt to land again.
