Luxembourg police have reminded lorry drivers passing through Luxembourg that they are banned from using public roads during the holiday period.
From 9.30pm on Saturday until 9.45pm on Sunday, lorries are banned from driving through the country, be it to go to France or Germany.
Furthermore, roads in Germany will be closed to lorries on Friday, March 29, which is a German national holiday. The ban applies to lorries weighing 7,500 kilograms or more.
Officers will police the road network to ensure lorry drivers comply at outposts on the A6 towards Luxembourg at the exit for Windhof and on the A3 in the direction of Luxembourg at the Zoufftgen exit.
In general there will also be a stronger police presence on the roads during the holiday period to police all motorists.
