Three men appeared in court yesterday accused with running a brothel out of a sauna club in Luxembourg.
The defendants, who could face two years in prison if found guilty, are accused of pimping out women to offer “sensual” massages, thought to have consisted of sexual acts, at the venue near Luxembourg Central railway station.
The prosecution explained that the price for this special service was higher than those of regular massages, suggesting that this could be explained if it entailed sexual acts.
The main defendant claimed that women employed at the venue were not allowed to perform certain actions that could be construed as prostitution. He alleges, however, that had such unauthorised treatments occurred, they did so without his knowledge.
A decision on the matter is expected on December 13.
