A drunk man caused a train to stop when he laid down on rail tracks in Luxembourg on Saturday morning.
The man was spotted lying on the tracks at Noertzange, near Bettembourg, at around 11am. Rail workers were able to halt the train in time before it struck him.
The incident caused traffic on the line to be stopped for a total of 20 minutes.
According to reports, the man got up of his own volition and began walking in the direction of Schifflange until police from Dudelange were able to arrest him. Police report that he is suspected of causing damage to a barrier crossing.
