NDPT is a gymnastic team consisting of the 28 most talented gymnasts in Denmark. Aged between 19-30, they are selected for both skill and character and are not paid professionals but participate on a voluntary basis to share an unforgettable Danish experience around the world. More than 1.5 million spectators have been thrilled by their performances in 60 countries.
Since 1994 NDPT has provided young gymnasts with a unique opportunity to discover the world. Since the beginning the team has visited more than 58 countries and more than 1.5 million people have seen the performances. This tour has already brought them to USA, Australia, Singapore, Japan, China and Scotland.
Besides performing the team offers workshops at schools, community centres, and places of work teaching people of all ages that healthy living can be fun.
The Danes have been leaders in this field for 100 years. NDPT presents a unique form of movement: traditional Danish gymnastics inspired by current dance trends, combined with artistic tumbling and acrobatics. The team displays coordination, strength and balance with their show Connections; a fun family show filled with drama, humour and breakneck exercises.
The show - Connections
The show Connections is a mix of graceful movements, dynamic and energetic sequences, colourful and life inspiring choreography and powerful vaulting and tumbling. The audience will experience that the boys are inspired by different elements such as the traditional Japanese gymnastics and Spanish bullfighting. The girls show new, surprising moves portraying joy with play of colours and inner feminine strength through modern gymnastics.
The title of the show expresses the many connections and relations a NDPT team establishes on their world tour. NDPT travels round the world experiencing different cultures and meeting many different people. The team connects with e.g. host families, the audience, children at workshops and not least each other. The team becomes like a new family and a lot of the gymnasts will establish new connections all over the world that will last for the rest of their lives.
The National Danish Performance Team embodies core values; health, self improvement and community building and provides a platform where the gymnasts inspire all generations to physical activity whilst promoting the messages of healthy living.
