(JB) Three French people who lived in Luxembourg have reportedly died in a plane crash in Italy.
A couple from Dudelange and a lawyer were allegedly victims of the tragic light aircraft accident which happened near Genoa in the north west of Italy.
The three were travelling from Cannes to Venice, in Italy, on board a Cessna. It is thought that the light aircraft got into difficulty because of thick fog around midday on Thursday.
The plane crash-landed with such force that the bodies of its passengers were thrown from the cabin.
The accident concerns a man, aged 63 and a woman aged 62, originally from Brest. The third victim is a 48-year-old Frenchman from Nancy who was working as a barrister in Luxembourg.
Two separate enquiries have been opened to investigate the causes of the accident.
