(JB) Police are appealing for information about a vehicle spotted near to where a young mother was murdered in her car.
39-year-old Geneviève Trembloy was cruelly shot at close range in her car on January 15, 2011, as she returned home from work at a friterie in Bovigny.
The horrific murder took place on the RN 892 at Halconreux, in Belgium, close to the Luxembourg border, at around 8.30pm.
Investigators are trying to trace an old, Renault Clio, which is red or partly red and was apparently seen in the area at the time.
The car is believed to have damage to the rear and could have since undergone repairs in a garage.
Anyone who may have seen the vehicle is urged to call Luxembourg investigators on 4997 6234 or the emergency number 113.
Earlier in the year a young man, who lived not far from the victim, was charged with the murder of the chip shop manager.
He was later released because of a lack of evidence.
