Luxembourg's interior minister announced new plans for the city's police when he joined officers on a patrol.

(JB) Luxembourg City's police station is to move from rue Glesener to the former HQ offices in rue Marie Curie.
The station, which houses some 220 officers, is likely to make the move in 2014, according to interior minister Jean-Marie Halsdorf.
The politician made the announcement during a special night visit to the existing station on Wednesday.
There, he went on patrol with a handful of police officers to understand their work and the risks they take in protecting the community.
Whether it was the CSV minister's imposing presence or simply a sign of police efficiency, Wednesday proved a quiet night for incidents in the capital.
While on patrol, Mr Halsdorf posed questions about the growing levels of violence against police in the urban environment.
During 2010, 331 cases of agression against officers were recorded, with the majority occurring around the capital's train station.
In a bid to protect officers and curb the trend, the police this year increased their patrol numbers and general street presence.
Currently, from eight to 10 patrols are sent out daily. Mr Halsdorf praised the progress made by the general direction to protect officers, particularly during night and weekend patrols.
