(JB) Classical music fans are expected to flock to Vianden during the next seven days as the historic town hosts its third annual youth music festival.
The week-long event kicks-off today (Friday) with two concerts and runs until August 28.
It features some of the best young new talents from around the world who have travelled to Luxembourg to take part in workshops and give public performances.
Musicians have reportedly come from as far as the US, Canada, China, South Korea and Israel with the youngest participant being eight-year-old flutist Yi Ting Ong, from Singapore.
What participants lack in age they more than make up for in talent. Six participants are medallists from the American Association for the Gifted and Talented, a kind of talent-scouting organisation.
Furthermore, 20 music teachers from some of the most prestigious music schools around the world will also attend the event, providing advice and guidance for the youngsters.
