(JB) Police are appealing for witnesses after a young woman was kidnapped and raped on her way to work.
The incident occurred around 4.30am on Thursday when, while crossing the rue de France in Belvaux, the victim was threatened and then forced into a red vehicle with Luxembourgish plates.
She told police she thought she was driven towards the French border.
The car stopped at two sheds, one red and one blue, in a wooded area where the victim reported she was raped by three separate men.
Following the ordeal she was forced back into the front seat of the vehicle and driven by her tormentors to the Centre Hospitalier Marie-Astrid in Niederkorn.
There she was pushed out of the car which fled the scene.
The young woman has long blond hair. The car into which she was forced is thought to be a red BMW Series 3. The men involved are described as aged in their twenties, dressed in black and spoke French. All three were smokers.
Anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation is urged to call the Luxembourg police. Police are also seeking assistance in finding the location where the sexual assault occurred. To contact police with information, call 00 352 49 97 61 31 or 113 from within Luxembourg.
