(JB) A suspected freeloading hotel guest who racked up large bills in Luxembourg hotels before fleeing has been caught in Germany.
According to Luxembourg police the man was serving a prison sentence in Germany when evidence emerged linking him to the Luxembourg crimes.
He is now expected to be extradited to Luxembourg where he will be tried in a court of law.
During 2009, Luxembourg police received several reports from hotels and restaurants that a man had benefited from overnight stays, meals and drinks, without ever paying the bill. It is alleged that he also stole items during his free hotel stays.
According to reports, the man always disappeared. Because he used false identity papers, police were never able to trace the suspect until now.
