Motorists are warned to expect disruptions when using the A3 motorway between Luxembourg and Metz this weekend because of road closures.
From 8pm on September 9 until 6am on September 12 the A3 will be closed to traffic between the croix de Bettembourg and the croix de Gasperich because of resurfacing works.
Road users should then expect a second weekend of disruptions when a separate section of road around the Gluck roundabout closes from September 17 to 19 for the same reason.
This weekend, motorists wishing to travel between Metz and Luxembourg will be diverted along the A13 towards Pétange until the Foetz junction and then via the A4 towards Hollerich until the croix de Cessange as far as the A6.
The resurfacing work means that a number of connecting motorway slip roads will also be closed. Those affected include: the A1 access road from Trier to the A3 signposted for Luxembourg City, the A6 slip road from Weyler to the A3 signposted for Luxembourg City and from the centre douanier or border control road to the A3 towards Luxembourg City and also in the Metz direction.
During the second weekend of road closures, the following roads will be closed from September 16 at 8pm until September 19 at 6am: all access roads from the Gluck roundabout, the road leading from rue Gluck to Gasperich, the road from Luxembourg-gare via the B3 express road, the south ring road access and the road leading from Howald via Rangwee.
