A cat owner was mortified when she discovered two of her beloved pets had been shot with a gun.
The pet owner, who lives in Bavigne, north of the lac de la Haute-Sûre, made the grisly discovery last weekend.
According to police, the cats had been shot by 4.5mm calibre pellets fired from an air rifle.
They are now seeking witnesses from the area or anyone who may have further information about the incident.
Other cat owners who have lost their pets or found them injured in a similar way are also urged to contact the Bavigne police station on 244 82 200.
