(JB) A man had to be disarmed with pepperspray after he brandished knives and a vodka bottle at police.
Officers were called to the scene in rue Antoine Meyer in Merl following reports from the man's wife of a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival at noon, police found the man carrying two kitchen knives and a bottle, which he threatened to use against officers.
Eventually, pepperspray was used to disarm the man, who was then sedated.
According to police, he received knife injuries to the abdomen during the scuffle with police and has been hospitalised.
