Finally Luxembourg has been thought of when it comes to the iTunes Store in giant step forward to offer account holders the possibility to rent and buy films. As of Wednesday iTunes Luxembourg released the service that has been available elsewhere in the world for some considerable time.
At first glance however, when you login it does appear that you have the choice between French and Dutch films only. However, do not fear! After just a little bit of browsing you’ll discover that you can download “Original Version” films too.
Not all the films however, give you both the buying and renting offer. For example you can only buy “Avatar” at €13.99, while “Invictus” can only be rented at €3.99. For the French film "Rien à déclarer" you have the choice: buy for € 16.99 or rent for 4.99 €.
Those who rent a film, have 30 days to download it to their PC, MAC, iPad or iPhone and watch it. But if you start watching a film, then the clock starts ticking giving you just 48 hours to enjoy it. Within that 48 hours however, you can watch it as many times as you like.
And there’s more good news: Apple iBook Store in Luxembourg has expanded its range of books available to the Grand Duchy considerably.
