A woman driver escaped with cuts and bruises when her vehicle skidded and landed in the Moselle river.
(JB) A woman driver escaped with cuts and bruises when her vehicle skidded and landed in the Moselle river.
The motorist was travelling from Grevenmacher to Machtum, along the river, when she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer into the water.
According to police, the woman was able to release herself from the car and swim to the river bank.
From there, she walked to the police station in Grevenmacher to alert authorities.
Her car was later fished out by firefighters from Grevenmacher and Mertert-Wasserbillig.
