UPDATE: Attempted rape in Luxembourg - Suspect arrested

The police have just announced that the suspect has now been arrested and therefore the plea for help has been lifted.

(ADW) A case of attempted raped on a woman was reported on Sunday afternoon on rue de la Deportation near Gasperich in Luxembourg.

Police are now appealing to witness to the assault and any information regarding a car, a black Hyundai Trajet with the registration number CK 9799.

The man attempted to drag his victim to the car several times and according to the report an attempt of rape took place, however the woman managed to free herself.

The perpetrator then fled in his car after a passing motorbike rider intervened before setting off in pursuit of the Hyundai.

Police are now appealing for the motorbike rider to urgently call police on 113 or 4997-4500. If anyone has information regarding the incident, they are asked to call the same numbers.
