THEATRE & OPERA
November 5, Utopolis & Utopia, Siegfried, 5pm
Another highlight from the New York Met season to hit the big screen. The third part of Wagner's Ring cycle sees Gary Lehman in the title role and Deborah Voigt's Brünnhilde as his prize. Bryn Terfel is the Wanderer. Fabio Luisi conducts in Robert Lepage's stunning production.
CINEMA

November 4, Ciné Sura, Sigur Rós - Inni, 8pm
For fans of the Icelandic band Sigur Rós the screening of concert movie Inni marks a unique opportunity in Luxembourg. The cinema in Echternach has exclusive rights to the film and you can only catch it there before it hits the DVD shelves on November 7.
November 5 & 6, Cinémathèque, Various
If the week has left you craving more spooky entertainment you can catch Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow on Saturday at 10pm. Earlier in the weekend cinephiles can see some classic Antonioni on the big screen with the 1962 flick L'eclisse on Friday at 8.30pm. Sunday sees film veteran Christopher Lambert of Highlander fame, as a Sicilian bandit fighting the church and the mafia in The Sicilian at 5pm. Later on in the evening at 8.30pm Billy Wilder's classic film noir Double Indemnity will be shown.
MUSIC & DANCE

November 4&5, Ancien Cinema Café, Elvis – The Multimedia Experience, 9pm
Steven Pitman, Luxembourg's premier Elvis interpreter, brings hits from the King of Rock dating back to the '50s & '60s, from Gospel and Hollywood to the '70s Las Vegas comeback. Without sporting the standard impersonator gear of oversized sunglasses and white karate suit, Pitman's buttery chords pay homage to the icon Elvis.
November 5, Cube 521, Orientalische Nacht, 8pm
An evening with song and dance hailing from the orient will see tales from 1001 nights retold through music and dance. Highlight of the evening is set to be the dance performance by Antonio Rodríques and Laila El-Jarad.
November 5, Kulturfabrik, Concerto Napoletano, 9pm
In association with the Italian Film Festival Villerupt, the Kulturfabrik in Esch will host a special concert featuring folk songs from the 17th Century up to the present day. If guests want to taste a selection of Italian delicatessen starting at 6.30pm advance reservations can be made under +352 55 44 93 – 1.

Ongoing until November 19, Covart Gallery, Russian Lights
Covart Gallery brings contemporary Russian painting and sculpture to Luxembourg in this exhibition featuring Katerina Nevolina and Viktor Mikhailov.
Ongoing until January 15, Casino Luxembourg, Found in Translation
Curator Emmanuel Lambion brings together works that question the concept of translation and language, going beyond the semantic use of the term to a more metaphorical understanding. While something can get lost in translation new meanings can also be found.
OTHER

November 5, Carré Rotondes, PICElectroNic, 2-7pm
For some family entertainment head to the Carré Rotondes for a musical journey. With concerts, performances, workshops and sound installations the event promises an introduction to the world of music for the young and their parents.
November 5&6, Luxexpo, International Dog Show, 10am-6pm
For all dog lovers the Fédération Cynologique Luxembourgeoise presents the prettiest pups from around the world. While entries for the competition are closed, everyone is welcome to attend the spectacle and find out who carries home the winning trophy.
