(JB) Police are appealing for witnesses after a Bonnie and Clyde-style couple posing as hitchhikers stole a man's car.
The man and woman stopped their victim as he approached a garden nursery between Ehlange and Reckange on Thursday night.
Unaware of their intentions he offered to drive the pair towards Esch in his white Seat with French registered plates. However, after a few minutes, the driver felt something hard being held to the side of his neck.
The male hitchhiker, who was seated behind the driver, then asked him to pull over and get out. Believing that he was being threatened with a weapon, the victim obeyed and watched the couple speed off in his car towards Reckange-sur-Messe.
Anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or who has information about it is urged to call Luxembourg police on 112. The robbery occurred at around 8pm on November 3. The number plate of the stolen vehicle was AW 269 TE.
