(JB) Motorists faced major delays on the E411 this morning after a truck caught fire and four vehicles collided.
The HGV was carrying goods along the motorway near Arlon travelling towards Luxembourg when the driver spotted smoke.
He stopped the truck just as the flames took hold, destroying the cargo and vehicle.
Shortly afterwards a four-car collision occurred in the same area causing tailbacks as far as the Weyler exit.
Lorries have been diverted away from the accident scene from the Weyler exit while the road is cleared.
The automobile club of Luxembourg has advised motorists travelling to Luxembourg to leave the motorway at Sterpenich to avoid delays.
