(ADW) A French truck driver had a lucky escape on Thursday evening with only minor injuries after smashing through a road barrier and crashing into trees.
It was just after 6pm when, in foggy weather between Allerborn and the Belgian border the truck driver was surprised by a left turn and on a wet road, skidded straight on crashing through the road barrier.
The truck then hit and uprooted several trees before ending the ordeal in a group of trees located in a field by the side of the road.
The driver was lucky to only be slightly injured and managed to free himself before being taken to hospital in Wiltz.
