The editor of a tabloid newspaper will have to pay 6,000 euros in fines and damages for portraying the capital's mayor as a Nazi officer.
Luxprivat editor Jean Nicolas published a caricature of DP politician and Luxembourg mayor Xavier Bettel dressed as an SS officer.
On Thursday a judge ordered him to pay a 4,000 euro fine and damages of 2,000 euros. The editor has 40 days in which to lodge an appeal.
