One of Luxembourg's Eurovision hits is experiencing a revival after it was used in a new episode of The Simpsons.
L'Amour est Bleu, or Love is Blue, put Luxembourg in fourth place when it was sung by Greek singer Vicky Leandros in the 1967 Eurovision song contest.
Nearly 45 years later, the bittersweet ballad is to make a comeback, appearing in an episode in the latest series of the much-loved US cartoon. The episode, entitled The Blue and the Grey, will feature a cover by Paul Mauriat.
It is the second time that Simpsons producers have used the song in their show. It featured in a 1990 episode called There's no disgrace like home. The winning song, or a shinier version of it, was also re-released in 2011 by Vicky Leandros and Scooter.
Today the song is considered one of the most-covered and biggest-selling Eurovision Songs ever released.
While nowadays Luxembourg no longer features among the Eurovision entries, it was one of the first countries to take part when the competition launched in 1956. It won the top title five times, in 1961, 1965, 1972, 1973 and 1983.
