Luxembourg won't be taking part in this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, contrary to rumours of a return.
Broadcaster RTL Luxembourg was widely expected to enter this year's event, to be hosted in Azerbaijan capital in May after a 13-year pause.
But, the firm has flatly denied that the Grand Duchy will be selecting a candidate for this year's competition.
Luxembourg last competed in 1993 but was relegated from qualifying in 1994. A later attempt to compete in 2010 was scuppered, reportedly because of funding issues.
One of the founding members of the popular music competition, Luxembourg has clocked up five wins since its launch in 1956. The Grand Duchy has also hosted the competition some four times.
