(ADW) Imitating a police officer is not taken lightly in Luxembourg as a motorist soon found out after doing just that at the weekend.
It was on Route du Nord, a man complete with blue flashing light mounted on his car, held up a stop sign to traffic.
Finding the “police” actions rather puzzling, passing motorists reported the fake officer to the real police force.
Gathering information supplied by witnesses Luxembourg police managed to quickly identify the man and where he lived in Troisvierges.
Real officers, after searching the man’s car, discovered the blue flashing lights, as well as police radios which were confiscated.
A criminal case has now been launched against the man.
