A car chase across the three borders of Luxembourg, France and Belgium took place late Saturday evening, after police approached a stolen car at a petrol station in Bascharage.

(ADW) A car chase across the three borders of Luxembourg, France and Belgium took place late Saturday evening, after police approached a stolen car at a petrol station in Bascharage.
It was at about 10:30pm on Saturday when police spotted a car at a petrol station on route de Luxembourg, however when the attempted to interrogate the occupants, it sped off towards a roundabout in Biff.
A quick check revealed that the car had been stolen on 12 January in Audin –le-Tiche, just over the border in France.
Officers immediate gave chase and it wasn’t long before a second patrol joined the high-speed pursuit .
Cross-border reinforcements were requested from foreign authorities in France and Belgium.
Like a scene from an action film, police attempted on several occasions to overtake the stolen car, but each time the driver tried to ram the police car off the road.
At speed, the journey went over the Belgian and French borders before pursuing police lost sight of the car and decided to call off the chase.
