Police are appealing for help in finding a missing woman who lived in Luxembourg and whose abandoned car was found in Belgium.
Karin Konsbrück Nies, 49, was last seen on Friday January 13 leaving her home in Ahn, on the Moselle river, in a grey/beige Opel Vectra.
Her car was then discovered the same day at 5.20pm on the E411 Brussels- Arlon road in Belgium, some 105 kilometres from the Luxembourg border. Police have been unable to trace the missing woman in the vicinity of the abandoned car.
Mrs Konsbrück Nies is 1.6 metres tall, has short, grey hair and wears glasses. Police described her as well-built. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a red sweater and black hooded coat.
Anyone with information that may help police locate the missing woman is urged to call Luxembourg police on 113.
