(ADW) Already this Tuesday morning ice has been making life difficult for Luxembourg’s motorists. Several accidents have occurred as well as significant traffic delays.
In the north of the country it snowed lightly during the night before freezing as ice everywhere.
The Automobile Club of Luxembourg (ACL) reported particular problems in the Mamer area at motorway slip roads (quite literally). Several trucks have stopped by the roadside as the surface is deemed too slippery.
Between Grosbus and Vichten buses became stuck and blocked the road. Near Leudelange a truck became stuck in a ditch and traffic reduced to one lane.
Another accident was reported in the north east of the country between Grundhof and Müllerthal with a car ending up on its roof.
On the A13 motorway in the direction of Mondorf-les-Bains an accident has been reported involving a truck and causing delays.
The clear message is to be extra vigilant on Luxembourg’s roads this Tuesday morning.
