(CS) Two pistols, ammunition and a hand grenade were confiscated by the police after a car search on Sunday evening.
The incident began when a woman called the police saying there was a man with a gun in a bar in the rue Joseph Junck, in Luxembourg City, on Sunday just before 11pm.
When the police arrived they couldn't find a weapon on the suspect, but a search of the premises revealed that a gun had been abandoned in the toilet's waste basket. The gun was not loaded.
Searching the man's car, the police found another pistol, ammunition and a hand grenade. The pistol found in the car was registered correctly in the man's name. The one hidden in the bathroom had been purchased in Arlon, Belgium.
When brought to the police office the man was verbally abusive and threatened the police. The weapons were confiscated.
