One man died and another was injured in an accident at an ArcelorMittal plant over the French border on Wednesday.
According to French channel France 3 Lorraine the victim was employed by Harsco, a sub contractor employed by Luxembourg subcontractors DM Services.
The incident reportedly occurred when an engine tyre exploded at a factory in Florange, south west of Thionville.
It was one of a line of fatal incidents which took place in Lorraine this month. On Monday, a 48-year-old construction worker was crushed to death by a 3-tonne slab of concrete following a fire at the site the future Nancy train station.
A worker from the Island of Reunion drowned when the digger he was driving at a building site in Hérange fells into a pool of water three-metres deep.
