A motoring organisation is urging car owners to park indoors after a spate of breakdowns caused by frozen diesel.
The Automobile Club of Luxembourg (ACL) issued the warning after a number of members could not start their vehicles and had to call the firm's breakdown service for assistance.
The ACL said that there was no “quick fix” for the problem and advised vehicle owners not to dilute diesel with other fuel to prevent it from freezing.
The best solution, it said, was to park the vehicle in a garage or enclosed space. For members requiring breakdown assistance, ACL urged them to be patient.
