Ensuring quality of child and after-school care

The number of places available in day care has increased from 7,712 in 2004 to over 32,000 in 2011, with the budget for child care facilities for 2012 set at around 212 million euros.

(CS) The number of places available in day care has increased from 7,712 in 2004 to over 32,000 in 2011, with the budget for child care facilities for 2012 set at around 212 million euros.

Because of this fast and quick rise in crèches, nurseries, and day care centres the Conseil de gouvernement on Friday adopted a series of measures to support and regulate these facilities, constituting changes from the law of July 4, 2008.
