Police were forced to use pepper spray when an officer was beaten while trying to break up a mass brawl in a car park.
The injuries were inflicted after a fight broke out between some 60 people in the early hours of Sunday.
According to police, the mass brawl began on the corner of Rue de Hollerich and Rue Joseph Heintz.
The cause was thought to have been an attack on a woman who sat with her boyfriend in a car. It was reported that several people tried to pull the female passenger from the car.
The woman was beaten, bruised and sexually assaulted, according to a police press statement.
As friends rushed to the woman's aid, the brawl broke out. Upon arrival at the scene, police officers were immediately attacked. One person struck an officer and tore his service jacket in the frenzy.
The person who began the dispute could not be located.
