(CS) Luxembourg City's Déi Gréng have praised the innovative and environmentally friendly design of the Ban de Gasperich project, which includes plans for the city's biggest park area.
The mix of offices, flats and shops, together with a large park and green areas, marks a welcome change for new president of the party's City branch Françoise Folmer. Cityscapes made from concrete, such as the Clôche d'Or and Kirchberg, should be a thing of the past, she said.
Folmer, an architect who was recently presented with the Woman Business Manager of the Year Award, shares the leadership position with former journalist François Benoy.
The party also welcomed Juncker's green light for the tram. With some 40% of Luxembourg's jobs located in the capital and numbers predicted to rise heavily in the future bringing more traffic to the capital and its neighbouring communes, Benvoy said, “after 20 years of discussion it is high time.”
