Fraudsters use police logo in cyber scam

A fake police unit for cyber criminality is using the Grand Duchy's police logo and asking internet users for a money transfer in an internet pop-up window scam, Luxembourg police warn.

(CS) A fake police unit for cyber criminality is using the Grand Duchy's police logo and asking internet users for a money transfer in an internet pop-up window scam, Luxembourg police warn.

The “Cybercrime Unit” pop-up claims that illegal activity was detected on the computer in question, and that a money transfer was therefore necessary to unblock the computer via an online payment service such as Paysafecard or Ukash.
