92% of Luxembourg part-time workers are women

The vast majority of part-time workers in Luxembourg are women with children, a Statec study published to mark International Women's Day has revealed.

(CS) The vast majority of part-time workers in Luxembourg are women with children, a Statec study published to mark International Women's Day has revealed.

Some 92% of those in part-time employment aged 20-49 are women, with over two thirds saying they chose this mode of employment because they have children. It is noticeable, that the percentage of women in part-time employment increases with the number of children in the household.
