When Morteza Farshbaf decided to turn a 15-minute short film about a deaf-mute couple into a feature film, he knew he was taking a risk. “When you work on a film you try to make things safe,” he says, after all “the cinema is an industry.”
Encouraged by mentor Abbas Kiarostami, Farshbaf nonetheless decided to go for it. “He said, if you are passionate about the idea, then there will be an audience for it.”
